JOB Title: Social Media and Administration Wizz

  • Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our passioned volunteer lead organisation, in Social Media and Administration Wizz position. This position will be conducted remotely from the candidate’s home office, with monthly online meetings. The role involves approx. 20 hours per month and is ideal for someone with a passion for food, sustainability, and community engagement. It involves managing our social media presence (FB, IG and maintain wordpress webpage) coordinating administrative tasks, and supporting our various events and initiatives. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain and empower young members to become active participants in our organisation.

     

  • Responsibilities:- Develop and implement social media strategies to promote Slow Food Swan Valley and Eastern Regions and engage with our community

    – Create engaging content for social media platforms targeted at young audiences

    – Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and maintain a positive online presence

    – Coordinate administrative tasks, including email correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining records

    – Assist with event planning and logistics, including marketing efforts, venue coordination, participant registration

    – Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to the overall success of the organisation

     

  • Requirements:- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

    – Experience managing social media accounts for organisations or businesses

    – Excellent organizational and time management skills

    – Attention to detail and ability to multitask

    – Knowledge of food sustainability issues and interest in Slow Food principles is desirable

    – Experience in administration or event coordination is a plus

    – Ability to work independently and as part of a team
