Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day
At this year’s Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day, Slow Food Swan Valley will be focusing on the topic of Food Memory. Food Memory refers to any food-related experience (cooking, picking, foraging, producing etc.) that you may have from the past, which ends up becoming a sort of tradition that reminds you of home, particular flavours and smells, specific festivities. Slow Food is partnering with Helena Collage and Eastern Hills Senior High School to build an unforgettable memory for everyone!
An exciting Food Memory Trail will be set up, where all student entries will be presented, as well as other, visual and interesting displays. At the end of the trail, we will recreate some of those recipes and food memories for sharing and tasting. At the stall, you will also find the Smoothie Bike to make your own smoothie and contribute to fighting food waste!
